Designation officer:- (a) The Government shall appoint a Special Chief Secretary / Principal Secretary / Secretary to the Department. (b) The Secretary shall be from the All-lndia Services and should be at the level of Secretary-cadre or higher. (c) The Secretary shall be responsible for overseeing the functioning of the GSWS Department by the Government. (d) The Secretary shall be assisted by the Commissioner/Director, as may be prescribed under this Act.
