Formation of the new district of 1[Prakasam] - As from the second day of February, 1970, there shall be formed a new district in the State of Andhra Pradesh, to be known as the 1[Prakasam] district comprising the areas specified in the Second Schedule; and the said areas shall thereupon cease to form part of the district of Guntur, Nellore or Kurnool, as the case may be.
