Removal from membership of an authority - (1) The Board may remove any person from membership of any authority or body of the University on the ground that such person have been convicted of any offence involving moral turpitude or conduct not befitting the office held by the concerned member: Provided that no such order shall be made against any person without giving reasonable opportunity of being heard. (2) Any member, other than ex-officio member, of any authority or body of the University, may resign his office by a letter addressed to the Vice- Chancellor and such resignation shall take effect from the date on which the same is accepted by the authority competent to fill the vacancy or on the expiry of three months from the date of its receipt by the Vice-Chancellor, whichever is earlier.
