Statutes how made - (1) The first Statute of the University as set out in Schedule of this Act, and can only be altered with the approval of the Government. (2) Every Statute other than those included in sub-section (1) above, and passed by the Executive Council shall be submitted to the Chancellor, who may give or withhold his assent thereto or refer it back to the Executive Council for reconsideration. (3) No Statute passed by the Executive Council shall be valid or shall come into force until the Chancellor gave his assent.
