Disqualifications for Membership / Appointment - No person shall be qualified for nomination or continuation as a member of any of the Authorities or appointment as an officer of the University, if he, - (a) is of unsound mind, a minor, a deaf-mute; or (b) applied to be adjudicated as an insolvent or is an un- discharged insolvent; or (c) has been convicted and sentenced by a criminal court to imprisonment for a period of more than one year for an offence involving moral turpitude unless such sentence has been reversed or the offence has been pardoned or a period of five years has elapsed from the date of the expiration of the sentence.
