Appointment of first Vice-Chancellor and first Registrar - Notwithstanding anything in this Act and the Statutes, the first Vice- Chancellor and the first Registrar shall be appointed by the Government and their salary and conditions of service shall also be fixed by it. Each of the said officers shall hold office for a term, fixed by the Government but not exceeding five years.
