Penalties - (1) If any person contravenes any order issued to him by the Controller under Section 4, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or with fine which may extend to rupees five thousand or with both. (2) If any person commits any act of misbranding, sale of spurious and substandard seed shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or with fine which may extend to rupees Five thousand or with both.
