Search Marriages Register - (1) Subject to any Rules made in this behalf by the State including the Rules relating to payment of fee, any person may: (a) Cause a search to be made by the Marriage Officer for any entry in the Register of Marriages; and, (b) obtain an extract from such Register relating to Marriages. (2) All extracts given under this section shall be signed by the Marriage Officer or any other Officer authorised by the State Government to give such extracts and shall be admissible in evidence for the purpose of providing the marriage to which the entry relates.
