Short title, extent, commencement and application - (1) This Act may be called the Andhra Pradesh Bangaru Talli Girl Child Promotion and Empowerment Act, 2013. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Andhra Pradesh. (3) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 1st May, 2013. (4) It shall apply to all girl children born on or after 1st May, 2013 limited to the first two children of the same mother.
