Agricultural and Home Science Extension Service- (1) The University shall establish an Agricultural and Home Science Extension Service for the purposes of – (a) undertaking extension programmes on a phased programme covering the entire State of Andhra Pradesh in such manner as may be determined by the Government in consultation with the Board; (b) dissemination of information for the solution of problems relating to agriculture and domestic fields ; (c) establishment of youth clubs for developing the interests of young people in agriculture ; and (d) such other purposes as may be prescribed. (2) The Board shall appoint in the manner prescribed a person who had training in agriculture as the Director of Agricultural and Home Science Extension Service. He shall be responsible for dissemination of such information and planning and execution of a programme of extension work based upon the results of research.
