The University- (1) There shall be constituted in, and for, the State of Andhra Pradesh, a University by the name of the 6 [Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University] which shall consist of a Chancellor, a Vice-Chancellor, a Board of Management and an Academic Council. 7 [(1A) the University shall be a teaching, research, extension and affiliating University.] 1 . Inserted by the Act No.11 of 2017, S.4 5 (2) The University shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal and shall sue and be sued by the said name. (3) In all suits and other legal proceeding by or against the University, the pleadings shall be signed and verified by the Registrar and all processes in such suit and proceedings shall be issued to, and served on, him. (4) The headquarters of the University shall be at Rajendranagar in the Hyderabad district and it may extend to any place within a contiguous area of five miles around it.
