Punishment of agents and canvassers without proper authority. - Whoever engages himself as an agent or canvasser in contravention of the provisions of section 93 or of any rules made thereunder 212 shall be punishable for the first offence with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees and for any second or subsequent offence with imprisonment which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees, or with both. Corresponding Law. - Section 193 corresponds to section 123-A of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939. Objects and Reasons. - Clause 193 lays down that persons acting as Goods Booking Agents or Travel Agents without a proper licence are punishable.
