(1) For every State there shall be a Legislature which shall consist of the Governor, and— (a) in the States of 2[Andhra Pradesh,] Bihar, 3*** 4[Madhya Pradesh], 5*** 6[Maharashtra], 7[Karnataka], 8*** 9[and Uttar Pradesh], two Houses; (b) in other States, one House.
