Section 89

Superior air force authority

For the purposes of sections 87 and 88, a "superior air force authority" means-- (a) in the case of punishments awarded by a commanding officer, any officer superior in command to such commanding officer; (b) in the case of punishments awarded by any other authority, the Central Government, 1 [the Chief of the Air Staff] or other officer specified by 1 [the Chief of the Air Staff].
